Why this retreat?
We live in challenging times on many levels. Constant distractions, a loneliness epidemic despite digital hyperconnectivity, economic pressures, ongoing wars, social injustices, environmental disasters… sometimes, the whole world seems on fire. It’s no wonder that many people experience overwhelming emotions, chronic stress, and a decline in mental health and wellbeing.
These challenges are real, but they do not have to be paralysing or limiting the potential of your future. Feeling overwhelmed and uncertain is a normal reaction to difficult conditions that threaten your experience of joy, calm and purpose.
This day retreat has been developed to help you find answers to these questions:
-
How can I remain centred and grounded in the middle of storm?
-
How do I move forward with meaningful action when you are being pushed and pulled in all directions?
-
How do I stay connected to joy even when things feel heavy and overwhelming?
None of this is possible if you do not have a safe space to recover, rejuvenate, and find strength. A safe space that is always accessible and never goes offline. That space is your inner sanctuary - an untouchable, indestructible, and unlimited resource; the core of the authentic YOU.

What to expect

own if you prefer. Please note that no yoga experience is required, and this is not a physically demanding workshop by any means.
We will also have access to tables and chairs for other parts of the retreat that facilitate more head-based learning activities and conversations (top-down approach).
You can bring along any personal comfort items that help you to connect with yourself and let go of your everyday pressures and responsibilities, e.g. earphones to listen to your favourite music, a comfy pillow or blanket, a journal.
Please wear comfortable clothes that allow you to move freely, breathe deeply and stay warm.

“Within you, there is a stillness and a sanctuary to which you can retreat at anytime and be yourself.”
Hermann Hesse

Your inner sanctuary is your own refuge, a protected space to find strength, refocus,
and nourish yourself. It’s the birthplace of deep joy, inner peace, and personal purpose.
What is an "inner sanctuary", and where can I find it?
While it is neither a physical location nor a function of a particular body part, your ability to access your inner sanctuary is shaped by very “real” and measurable aspects including your nervous system activation, thinking patterns, and emotional states. We will explore potential barriers and learn strategies to protect and strengthen your mental health, emotional wellbeing, and spiritual energy.
This retreat has been developed to provide you with an opportunity to unlock and cultivate your inner sanctuary, so that it becomes an unwavering resource of strength and meaning to you, whenever you need it. And you WILL need it to keep your firm foothold in a shaky world.
